1. GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

2. UK GDPR (United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation) – The version of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) which is incorporated into UK law by virtue of section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and amended by the Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

3. Users (hereinafter also referred to as "They" assigned) – A natural person who uses the website for their own purposes, i.e. visits the website, creates an account on the website, uses the services or purchases products we offer.

4. Website – A website managed by us where you can, among other things, buy our products, contact us, and so on.

Please note that we may use your data for profiling purposes for marketing purposes, but we will not use your data for automated decision-making.

 

IV. How long do we process your personal data? How will we store them??

We may process your personal data based on legitimate interests until our legitimate interests are met or until you object to such processing. Data processed for other purposes will be retained for the period required by applicable law, including laws relating to taxes and accounting. If such legal provisions do not exist, we may process personal data for the duration of the contract and after its termination. – for a period not exceeding the limitation period for possible claims. Currently stored Map Four Your personal data is stored in Germany. We store the data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. We take necessary and appropriate security measures to ensure data security, taking into account the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data, the risks associated with the processing and the serious consequences of any damage. For example, we implement a combination of technical measures for encryption and anonymisation, as well as the necessary organisational and administrative measures to prevent data misuse, unauthorised access and unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction, etc.

 

V. How do we share your personal data?

If necessary, we may share your personal data with the following groups of recipients:

· Service providers who support us in our day-to-day operations (e.g. delivery, logistics, storage, payment processing or IT service providers)

· other companies within the MAPFOUR group, if necessary to fulfil our obligations to you.

· Supervisory authorities, courts or competent authorities (at their request, to comply with applicable regulations and laws or to protect their rights and interests)

· Companies that advise us (e.g. our insurers, lawyers, tax advisors and, if necessary, other consultants)

· Companies involved in formal procedures (e.g. restructurings, mergers, acquisitions or insolvency or liquidation procedures)

· Providers of plugins for marketing purposes (email marketing, SMS marketing, social media marketing, loyalty programmes)

DATA TRANSFER

 

MAPFOUR is based in Luxembourg. When using the website, your data may be transferred to and processed by the company outside your country of residence. This may particularly affect China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.

As part of our business activities, we use the services of specialised companies from other sectors. In such cases, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. This may include, in particular, Canada, the United States of America, China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China).

We only transfer personal data abroad when necessary. In the event of a transfer by MAPFOUR, we ensure that: (i) personal data is transferred to countries recognised as having an equivalent level of data protection; or (ii) the transfer takes place with appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses established by the European Commission. YOUR RIGHTS

 

You have a number of rights regarding the protection of personal data that we process about you. Please note that these rights may be subject to certain limitations, depending on the purpose and legal basis of the processing, as set out in the specific provisions of the AVG and other applicable data protection laws.

Under the AVG, you have the following rights, which allow you to control how your personal data and related processing activities are processed:

· Right to information: You have the right to request information about your personal data from us and to receive a copy of it. The first copy is free of charge (for subsequent copies we may charge a fee to cover administrative costs).

· Right to rectification: You have the right to correct your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

· Right to erasure or restriction of processing: You have the right to request the erasure of your data or the restriction of its processing. If the accuracy, lawfulness or necessity of the processing of your personal data is disputed, we will restrict the processing of your personal data to the necessary minimum (storage) and, if applicable, only process it for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, or, if necessary, to protect another natural or legal person, or based on other limited considerations arising from applicable law.

· Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your data if it is processed to protect a legitimate interest and your objection is justified by a specific situation; this will result in us ceasing the processing of your personal data until we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or there are grounds for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

· Right to data portability: You have the right to request data portability if the data is processed on the basis of consent or for the purpose of concluding or performing a concluded agreement and the processing is carried out automatically.

· Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal on the basis of that consent).

How we handle children's personal data

We do not offer our products or services to children under 13 years of age or the equivalent age as defined in your jurisdiction (we define children primarily based on the laws and regulations of the country or region where our company is located, as laws in different countries may vary regarding the definition of childhood). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or use it for marketing purposes; our product does not actively request information from children. If you discover that data about a child has been provided to us, please contact us by email at [official@mapfour.comWe will delete the relevant data as soon as possible. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to remove this personal data from MAPFOUR as soon as possible.
